English as a Second Language (ESL) Program Orientation
ESL Orientation and Registration Process
Registration Information:
In-Person Orientation: Select a date and time below to reserve a seat for an In-Person Orientation at Poway Adult School. You will have your level assessed and by a teacher at that time. In-Person Orientations are by appointment only. Once you have registered for In-Person Orientations, you will expect to receive an email to confirm your reservation. Any Appointment made for Orientation will be for our ESL Fall Session starting in August.
Please make sure you receive a confirmation email before arriving at your appointment. If you have not received a confirmation email a week before your appointment, you may not have completed the registration for the Orientation and your seat has not been reserved. Please email [email protected] if you have any issues receiving your confirmation.

Virtual Orientations: Due to popular demand, appointments for Virtual Orientation are filling up very quickly! If you sign up for a Virtual Orientation, you will be sent an email in a few weeks which will allow you to schedule the appointment once it becomes available. Next Virtual Orientation Email will be sent out after FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH. Sign up now in order to receive your scheduling email on September 5th.
Virtual Orientations for the ESL Program
Orientation Information:
Part 1: Testing

Attend the testing session you were assigned

Arrive 10 min before appointment to check in

Allow 90 min to complete testing process

Please do not bring children!

You will be given a future appointment time to meet with an advisor (In-Person/Zoom/phone)
Part 2: Advising
- Meet with your advisor (Zoom/phone) to discuss your educational goals
- Receive your class assignment and access to class website
