Develop Your Career Plan
This workshop focuses on your career goals based on your trifecta: a combination of your unique interest profile, labor market demand, and wages. It encourages you to develop a career plan based on data and evidence to add confidence to your career decisions. Choose from on-Zoom or on-campus options.
Target Your Resume
Create a resume that focuses on your experience and employer needs. Write a compelling Professional Summary to highlight your skills that meet or exceed job requirements. The Professional Summary becomes your talking points for networking.
Ace Your Interview
This workshop focuses on interview preparation and practices. Topics include reviewing and incorporating transferable skills, exploring various types of interview questions and developing your best answers to avoid interview pitfalls.
Build Your Network, Enhance Your Career
We will explore how to build your career opportunities and learn about how and where to develop professional networking leads to open doors for your next career steps.
Using Technology to Effectively Job Search and Network
Take control of your job search! Use different job search engines, sites, and social media to effectively conduct your job search. Understand the basics of using search engines such as Indeed and SimplyHired, creating job alerts, uploading applications and resumes, protecting your online privacy, and how to watch out for scams. You will also learn how to set up a LinkedIn profile and how best to use it for networking and applying for jobs.
