Physical Therapy Tech
Adult School is offering a 6-week Physical Therapy Tech Training Program, designed for individuals interested in starting a career in the growing field of physical therapy. The course provides an introduction to the role of a physical therapy technician in an outpatient clinic setting.
Students will learn about routine exercises, modalities, patient handling, body mechanics, and safety procedures. They will also have the opportunity to practice their skills during a weekly hands-on lab held at a local outpatient physical therapy clinic, under the direct supervision of the instructor and facility staff.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to participate in an optional 3-week externship, gaining valuable, real-world experience in a physical therapy environment.
Instructional Format
✔ Weekly Saturday In-person lab sessions 8:30-12:30pm at Personally Fit Physical Therapy in Rancho Bernardo (address coming soon).
✔ After completing the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and may choose to participate in a 3-week optional externship, attending one day per week with morning or afternoon options available.
